Daughters of the Flame International
__________________________________________________________
We are the seekers who have always been here - women drawn to the sacred beyond dogma, reaching for spirit where patriarchy has tried to block the light. Daughters of the Flame is a return, a remembering. We are not starting something new; we are rekindling what was nearly extinguished: a woman-centered spiritual fire, alive in the bones of the world.
Women have always been the mystics, the midwives of meaning. We were the witches, the wild ones, the wise ones - scattered and isolated, powerful but alone.
Daughters of the Flame is a sacred return and a revolutionary step forward.
Not just a path, but a structure. A spiritual body strong enough to hold us all. As enduring as the churches men built for themselves - but shaped by the matriarchy, fed by the earth, and lit by the fire of collective womanhood.
In a world that keeps stripping our rights and silencing our voices, this is our answer.
A sanctuary. A force. A flame.

Daughters of the Flame is a religious non-profit organization,
a church that celebrates She-Animism, the energy of the Divine Feminine
The  Daughters of the Flame
We are the maidens, the mothers, the crones, from every walk of life and every corner of the world. Some move barefoot in forest clearings, some stride city streets in heels; some wear flowing skirts, others tailored suits. Yet what binds us isn’t style or station, but the ember glowing deep within our souls.
This ember whispers that we are different - more than the roles we’ve been assigned, more than the ambitions we’ve been taught to chase. It flickers beneath smiles at the dinner table, pulses through secret tears in boardrooms, and hums through midnight journal entries. It tells us the world is not quite right, that life holds a larger promise beyond the endless race.
We have felt the sting of being silenced - by patriarchal norms, by well-meaning but deaf institutions, by mediocre voices shouting over our truths. We know what it is to be dismissed, to be spoken past, to be told our anger is “too much” or our dreams “impractical.” Yet still the ember glows, nourishing our quiet revolt, our daydreams of radical love, fierce justice, and a life lived fully.
When we find the Flame, we feel seen at last. Our hidden spark will be honored, fanned into a sustaining fire by a circle of sisters and allies who recognize its power. We will glimpse a path where our voice matters, our body is sacred, and our spirit can soar without apology.
Daughters of the Flame International, Inc. was founded as a religious non-profit on January 1st, 2025 and is headquartered in Colorado, USA. We are applying for 501(c)3 status with the IRS.
DotF churches (including temples, covens and congregations)  encompass many forms of worship of energy, nature, and pantheons in its practice. At its core DotF believes in the Goddess as the birther of the Universe and the energy that vibrates within all; centers and elevates women and enshrines our Goddess-given rights to our own lives and bodies; and provides a formal structure to a system of female-centric beliefs that are both ancient and powerful, which have been diminished and vilified by patriarchal societies for centuries. We call this belief in energy and the divine feminine She-Animism.
Please see our Statement of Faith for more details.
DotF is open to women and all who are in touch with the Divine Feminine, including those of female spirit, members of the LGTBQIA+ community, and men who embody the principles of the Statement of Faith. Our church is welcoming, loving, supportive and a place for the divine feminine to find fellowship and friendship, develop their leadership skills, and create community.

In Practice
When a woman steps into the flame, she finds:
A church in her town where her voice shapes the liturgy.
A circle of sisters ready to teach her to lead.
Practical tools to feed her family, build her business, and protect her health.
A marketplace where women's dollars support women’s ventures.
A school where her children learn in an environment that honors the feminine divine.
A network that rallies to her aid if her rights are threatened.
This is more than a religion - it’s a blueprint for a parallel matriarchy that coexists with, and ultimately transforms, the structures that once oppressed us.
What sets us apart is that we do not merely offer an alternative spiritual path, instead we are building a parallel matriarchal institution with the same power, reach, and permanence that patriarchal religions have long enjoyed.
Equal-Status Structure

We use the very frameworks men established—legal incorporation, tax-exempt status, codified governance—to erect a body as robust and enduring as any church, mosque, or temple. Here, women don’t occupy the margins; we hold the seats of authority, shape the rules, and steward our collective destiny.

Strategic Legal & Economic Power

By organizing as fully recognized religious entities, local DotF churches wield the same legal protections—and the same economic leverage—as established faiths. Our tax dollars, our tithes, our investments remain within our own ecosystem of women-led co-ops, clinics, schools, and businesses, depriving patriarchal institutions of both influence and resources.

Intersectional, Inclusive Solidarity

We are neither exclusive nor hierarchical. Maidens, mothers, crones, LGBTQIA+ and allies, and anyone who honors the divine feminine are not just welcome, they are essential. Cultural, racial, class, and ability differences are not barriers but sources of strength, woven into the tapestry of our Flame.

Earth-Rooted She-Animism

Unlike abstract theologies that separate spirit from soil, our practices draw power from bodies, cycles, and ecosystems. Rituals happen in the garden as readily as the sanctuary. We reclaim the ancient wisdom of midwives, herbalists, and stargazers, bringing it into everyday life.

Federated Network & Mutual Defense

Local churches are autonomous yet interlinked through regional Councils of Flames and an international Convocation. If one chapter’s rights are threatened, the rest respond—politically, legally, and economically—ensuring no sister stands alone against oppression.

Holistic Liberation Path

We refuse to separate “spiritual” from “practical.” DotF integrates worship, economic justice, education, healthcare, and social activism. Here, prayer and protest, ceremony and co-op, sermon and schooling, are threads of the same tapestry of women’s liberation.

This is how Daughters of the Flame dares to reclaim power: by standing shoulder to shoulder with patriarchal structures, then reshaping them in the image of the divine feminine.

We envision offering women everything they need to become architects of a new, matriarchal society - one built by our hands, guided by our wisdom, and protected by the law.

Spiritual & Ritual Life

• A legally-recognized DotF church in every community, granting full religious rights and tax exemption.

• Sacred spaces for worship, ceremony, and collective ritual—designed by women, led by women.

Leadership & Governance

• Training programs to equip women as clergy, council members, and community organizers.

• A replicable governance model so each local DotF chapter can self-govern while remaining connected to the broader Flame.

Economic Empowerment

• Co-ops and community gardens to secure fresh food and mutual aid.

• A DotF marketplace that partners with values-aligned businesses to circulate our resources within our own economy.

• Collective initiatives: health clinics, childcare centers, and even our own cooperative insurance schemes.

Social Connection & Support

• Inclusive gatherings, classes, and social events to foster friendships, mentorships, and partnerships.

• Safe-space facilities offering physical refuge, confidential counsel, and peer-led support groups.

Education & Cultural Transmission

• From preschool to university, an education system rooted in she-animism: honoring earth-based wisdom, creative inquiry, and collective values.

• Workshops, apprenticeships, and digital courses teaching and sharing knowledge in many areas such as spiritual practice, herbalism, advocacy, and practical skills.

Global Network & Solidarity

• A federated structure: local DotF churches connected through regional councils and an international Convocation of Flames.

• Mutual defense of religious rights—any attack on one DotF chapter triggers solidarity actions across the network.
Help us file as a 501(c)(3)
Please consider donating to help us file as a tax-exempt religious organization with the IRS. The filing fee for a church is $600.
A designation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit religious corporation assures that our church is recognized officially by the IRS as legitimate and tax-exempt, thus guaranteeing your donations and tithes will be tax deductible. We can then make every dollar go as far as it can in supporting our members and our community.
We would also appreciate donations in other areas - space for meetings, buildings or land to build our church and headquarters on, and any money, goods or services to assist in our outreach efforts to benefit our members and community. Thank you for your generosity!

Seeking Volunteers:
We need your help! There is much work to do in building an organization that supports, uplifts and encourages women, provides safe spaces for those of the feminine spirit, and protects our religious freedoms and rights. Your Goddess-given talents, passions and skills are so needed to help us spread the word and make sure we grow and thrive.
Our volunteers can help in all sorts of areas:
~ Serving as a MMC (Mother-Maiden-Crone) Council member
~ Providing the church with legal or other professional advice
~ Working to educate in women's healthcare
~ Social media creatives making sure we're reaching everyone we need to
~ Providing community outreach and public service projects
~ Providing your expertise in public speaking and writing
~ Spiritual advisers and developers advancing our cause
~ Educating and skill advancement
~ and so much more!
There's so much we can accomplish together!
Truly we are only limited by our imaginations and our willingness to be the change we want to see in the world, but we can do so much for our sisters, daughters, mothers, and the wider community. Please check out our ideas for future projects...

Looking to the Future:
We have so many ideas! As a Sisterhood, we can accomplish so much together to bring about a bright and happy future. Here are some of the projects we'd love to make happen...
~ DotFI HEADQUARTERS ~
We would love to create a welcoming space for services, ceremonies, administration, education, social events and gatherings, and the possibilities of our ideas for the future.
The vision is of a property with a building that has room for us to gather and worship, a kitchen and dining area along with a multi-purpose room for social activities, space for offices and meetings, outdoor spaces for playing, ceremonies, and gardens, ample parking and room for us to grow our other ideas...

~ THE BROOM CLOSET ~
A way to incorporate the 'Reduce~ReUse~Recycle' into our community and provide a resource in these challenging economic times, the Broom Closet is envisioned as a give-what-you-can store that allows our members to source clothing, furniture, appliances and other needed items from generous donations. We can ensure our gently used and pre-loved possessions can be saved from landfills and re-utilized in another loving home!
~ THE LARDER ~
The ability for members to join together in a co-op to purchase food and other goods in bulk to lower  household costs for our members and allows the church to provide meals and catering for events, and also creates a food bank to ensure no member goes hungry.

~ THE GARDEN ~
Room for a garden means fresh produce for our events and members! The ability to have a community garden also provides educational opportunities for members of all ages, and fresh foods for members who cannot garden where they live.
~ HEALTH CLINICS ~
Heath services are so important to life, and being able to access a healthcare provider within a safe and supportive environment is honestly life-changing. We're envisioning partnering with caring, competent health professionals who listen to women and value privacy to provide care and information to our members in the sanctity of our church.
~ CARE & EDUCATION ~
DAYCARE: So many members with children need to be in the workforce, but the lack of affordable childcare available is an obstacle. Being able to entrust your child to a caring, competent daycare facility means you can go to work worry-free! Also, with a health clinic nearby, even a sick child can be cared for without parents having to miss work.
PK-12 SCHOOL: A quality education to an international standard that truly prepares kids for life is our vision. With a well-rounded education encompassing academics, STEM, languages, the arts and music, sports and activities, technical, practical and life skills, and focussed on teaching kids how to learn and problem-solve with creativity and critical thinking, our students will be well-prepared for adulthood.
SKILL LABS: A place for all members to learn skills, not just the kids! Whether you want to learn to cook or bake, knit or sew, repair small appliances, weld, paint, learn a new language or computer program, or anything else, we see this as an opportunity for members to get involved and share their expertise with someone.
UNIVERSITY: Far into the future, our dream is for a university (or collegiate system) that meets the standards of respected international institutions, and as a non-profit, being able to structure the costs of tertiary education to be affordable.

~ THE REFUGE ~
A safe space for our vulnerable members, such as survivors of domestic abuse, abandoned LGBTQIA+ youth, and others escaping desperate situations to stay while they rebuild their lives. This could be a space within the building, or an area of tiny houses where pets could be welcome.

~ DotFI SERVICES ~
~ HEALTH INSURANCE ~
A member co-op or ability to purchase group health insurance is an idea we'd love to pursue.

~ MEMBER BENEFITS ~
Many organisations provide their members additional benefits such as discounts, preferred relationships and concierge services.

~ BUSINESS BARTER BANK ~
A database of member businesses where we know our patronage is going to fellow community members, and a way to share skills and expertise between members.
~ and we'd love to hear your ideas, too!
